Oh, what gifts to get for the little twins in your life?! I’m finding that shopping for twins is a whole different ballgame. And then finding gift ideas for one year old twin boys is another! Do we get two of everything? Do we mix and match? Do we just get one thing to share?
Table of Contents
So yes, you have a few gift idea options for twins:
Buy two of each thing and watch them try to play with the same ONE anyway.
Get similar, but different, toys for each while you work to teach them about sharing.
Buy toys they can use together.
Out of all three, I recommend the latter. It’s so much fun to have sets of toys that they can play with, together. Items in the room that are for them, together. And even outfits that go together, but aren’t exactly the same!

That’s what this guide is all about… fun gift ideas for the twin one year olds in your life that they can use and enjoy, together.
Okay, and maybe a couple of things they’ll need to take turns with and learn to share. 🙂

Ornament
We create a personalized family Christmas tree ornament every year, but what about the twins’ first Christmas? Or a special photo ornament or customized ornament just for them? I think it would be so sweet!
Personalized Picture OF YOUR TWIN BOYS
I think any mom would fall in love with a personalized photo or frame. One idea? The Birth Poster.
It is one my absolute favorite pieces of art hanging on my walls! The Birth Poster is an illustrations in 1:1 scale of your child (or twins) at birth, customized with their height, weight, and name at the bottom.

I do have to say, the toys we have from Lovevery seem to be the ones my boys always grab off the shelf first or carry around with them ALL day. They’re all designed by child development experts to be fun, simple, and engaging.

Toys to Share
You could absolutely get one of each as well, or let them take turns! I’ve found that most of the time when I have two of something, they gravitate towards the same toy anyway… whichever one was picked up first. Toys that are multi-use is a great way to let them play together, learn together, and work out taking turns!
We all love blocks over here and this set is so pretty, plus they are magnetic.
There has been a balance board in our home for a few years now and every child has played on it in all kinds of ways! So much fun for creativity… and they really do last.
Everyone loves a cuddly friend, and this set of two is so sweet.
When we went to the mountains recently, my sister in law had this travel, fold up ball pit and the kids ALL loved it! How gorgeous is this neutral-colored set too (though at a much higher price point).
On The Go
I’m not sure if this is more for mom or for the babies, but either way, it works! Having a wagon is such an easy way to get around, and this Wonderfold wagon has become one of our FAVORITE accessories. It folds down and fits easily in the car AND has seat buckles… so your wee ones won’t be climbing out, and that’s huge! Plus you can either push or pull with adjustable handles.
Balance bikes (this one has great reviews!) are also becoming all the rage, and we’ve used them with our kids before (usually between 18-24 months). With twins, you can try one and let them take turns until they’re older, or go for it and order two.
Clothing Sets FOR TWIN BOYS:
I LOVE matching. Even before we had twins, I loved our family in color-coordinated outfits. With twins, I do match them daily, but I also like to find sets that coordinate and aren’t exactly the same! We find lots of neutrals to mix and match, sets of hats that coordinate, and more.
Of course, some twin sets are too cute to pass up!
